I'm a seasoned creative with 15 years of experience in branding, visual design, project planning, and thinking outside the box. Design is a critical part of how we view the world around us, not just icing on the cake. Solving problems with design solutions and creating efficiencies is my passion. Asking a question to learn another point of view; starting a new project; mastering a new skill – that's what sets my heart on fire.

Building trust with a team member.
Saving a client 30% on their event budget.
Communicating the importance of design to external stakeholders.
These are the moments and biggest wins that make me passionate about working in my field.
Since I could drive, I’ve been taking trips to Lexington, Kentucky from my small town about an hour away. One thing I’ve always known for sure is Lexington is the place where I feel at home. I went to University of Kentucky’s Department of Communication and specialized in photojournalism, where I worked at the the student newspaper, The Kentucky Kernel. I immediately fell in love with the art of making photos. From there, I worked at a portrait studio and then at Alltech for 5 years, where I built my knowledge of graphic design. Since then, I’ve spent another 5 years and counting at AMR Management Services. Here, I’ve learned how to express my knowledge of design to others, how to speak with confidence and how to be a leader. As an extrovert, I found working from home during the pandemic challenging. Since the world has opened back up, I’ve found a love for it, and the opportunity that comes with it. I’m settled in my college town of Lexington, but through working from home, I’ve found the possibility for opportunities that would have never been possible in horse country.
But that’s just the professional Julie.
My creative brain keeps me moving a mile a minute. I take a photo of every moment to make it last. I’m the proud owner of a cake and cupcake decorating business, Miss Delaney Cakes, named after my daughter. Through this creative outlet, I found a passion for teaching how to build something from scratch. I love being silly and having fun. I don’t like watching scary or suspenseful movies, because life is hard enough. I’m a mom to one great kid, a wife to a craft beer nut, a swiftie and a loyal friend. I am always working on the next thing. Ask me about my newest house project!

My love language in the workplace is words of affirmation, so to me, there’s no greater feeling than being appreciated at work. Below, a few colleagues share their view of my strengths.
